In the vibrant tapestry of Bacardí’s story, one symbol stands out: the bat—a timeless emblem of quality, authenticity, and cultural richness. Our mission was to craft a visually stunning and versatile graphic universe that would resonate with Bacardí’s diverse audience, setting the brand apart in a competitive market while expanding its visual appeal beyond the world of liquor.
Introducing “El Ron del Murciélago” (Rum of the Bat), a concept inspired by Bacardí’s iconic brandmark and the profound symbolism it carries. For the indigenous Taínos of Cuba, the bat represented the cultural wealth of their community, while for the Spaniards, it symbolized health, fortune, and family unity. This fusion of meanings gave rise to “The Rum of the Bat”—a symbol of enduring quality and authenticity that has graced Bacardí’s legacy for over 150 years.
Our deliverables included a series of graphic assets, curated patterns, and consumer product designs that celebrated the spirit of “El Ron del Murciélago.” Each element was meticulously crafted to evoke the essence of Bacardí’s heritage while offering a fresh perspective on its timeless symbolism.
The result? An inspiring and captivating brand experience that invites consumers to rediscover Bacardí through the lens of “El Ron del Murciélago.” With this concept, we honored the brand’s legacy while embracing its cultural significance—a celebration of tradition, authenticity, and the enduring spirit of Bacardí.
